Exegetical Theology:

Johannes Cocceius (c. 1669):

[Observata ad Danielem]

Verses 2–3. He recounteth his former mourning, continued, it is said, through three weeks. The cause wherefore Daniel mourned is not declared. Yet it is credible that he was troubled for the state of the people of God.
